7th Illinois Volunteer Infantry (1898-1898) - Organized and mustered into the service of the United States at Springfield, Ill., May 18, 1898, with 50 officers and 974 enlisted men.

    • Assigned to Second Brigade, Second Division, Second Army Corps, June 3
  • Movements:
    • Left Springfield May 28; arrived at Camp Alger, Va., June 3
    • Left Camp Alger August 3, marching via Thoroughfare, Va., arriving at Camp Meade, Pa., August 26.
    • Left Camp Meade September 7; arrived at Chicago, Ill., September 9.
    • Furloughed for thirty days, from September 13 to October 12.

Mustered out of the service of the United States at Chicago, Ill., October 20, 1898, with 49 officers and 1,260 enlisted men. Casualties while in service: Officers-none. Enlisted men-died of disease, 2; deserted, 6.
