Camp Keyes (1888-Present) - A Maine National Guard Camp established in 1888 in Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine. Originally named for the sitting Governor Maine, renamed in 1909 for Major General Erasmus D. Keyes, U.S. Civil War Union general who fought at Bull Run. Active National Guard Camp.

History

Established as Maine National Guard camp in 1888 and made a permanent post in 1889. Served as the mobilization center for the entire Maine National Guard during the Spanish American War in 1898 and again for both the Mexican Border War in 1916 and World War I in 1917.
