Fort Prudhomme (1756-1760) - A temporary stockade or fort built in 1682 by La Salle during his exploration of the Mississippi. It was located at one of the Chickasaw Bluffs, but which one is a matter of controversy, each of the four Bluffs having its adherents. Links:
