Patrick Henry O'Rorke (1837-1863) - Born 25 Mar 1837 in County Cavan, Ireland. A U.S. Army officer and United States Military Academy graduate who served during the U.S. Civil War and who died 2 Jul 1863 at Gettysburg during that war.
He entered the United States Military Academy and graduated in the Class of 1861 ranking 1st in his class.
He rose to the rank of Colonel of the 140th New York Infantry in 1862 at age 25. He participated in the siege of Fort Pulaski, the Battle of Fredericksburg and at Chancellorsville.
