An adobe-walled post or fort on the North Platte River. Built by Lancaster P. Lupton of the South Platte trade, and taken over in 1842 by Sybille, Adams and Company. By 1846 when Parkman passed it, it was already abandoned, having fallen to the competition of [[Fort Laramie]] a few hundred yards distant.
