• American Camp, San Juan Island, WA where earthworks constructed under the direction of an officer named Roberts (who later wrote his "Rules of Order") can be seen. British Camp is on the opposite end of the Island.

• Are you interested in aboriginal fortifications? At Smelt Bay Provincial Park, Cortes Island BC, mounds believed to have been constructed by Coast Salish First Nations people as defense against Haida raiders can be seen. http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/smelt_bay/
