Adams-Onis Treaty

The Adams–Onis Treaty of 1819 settled a border dispute between the United States and Spain. U.S. received Spanish Florida (British East and West Florida) and Louisiana Spain received everything west of Louisiana from Texas to California. U.S. acquired the claims of Spain to the Oregon Country Ratified by the U.S. in 1821
