Usher (below) indicates that the HBC trading post at Fort Providence was still open as of October 1970. It has since closed, with no stores operation under that name currently.

Closed sometime after 1970.

Fort Providence RCMP Post

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) established a post here probably in the 1920s.
