Thomas F. Castor (1820-1855) - Born circa 1820 in Pennsylvania. Served in the Mexican-American War and established Fort Tejon in 1855. Died 8 Sep 1855, at Fort Tejon, Kern County, California.

He entered the United States Military Academy 1 Jul 1841 and graduated in the Class of 1846, ranking 28th out of 59.

Thomas Castor served in the Mexican-American War (1847-1848) and at a variety of posts in Minnesota and California between 1848 and 1855. He established Fort Tejon in 1854. He died 8 Sep 1855, at Fort Tejon, Kern County, California and is buried in the Fort Tejon Military Cemetery.
