HistoryEstablished during World War II as an emergency landing airfield for military aircraft on training flights at the Boardman Bombing Range. Operated under the direction of Walla Walla Army Airfield. The landing strip was reportedly activated in December 1943 and was carried on the U.S. Government property records as late as December 1945. Current StatusNow a Civil Airport operated by the Port of Boardman as an unattended airstrip with a single 4200' asphalt runway (4/22). Operates under the control of FAAs Seattle Center (ZSE)
