Lord Dunmore's War (1774) - Began in spring of 1774, on the Ohio River above the mouth of the Little Kanawha River, between Indian peoples (particularly Shawnee, Miami tribe, and Wyandot) and parties of settlers and explorers. The surrender of the Shawnee and Mingo at Camp Charlotte in Oct 1774 formally ended the war but hostilities continued through 1794. Links: |
