Camp Ida Thoroughman (1867-1867) - A post-U.S. Civil War Camp established in 1867 four miles northeast of Livingston, Park County, Montana. Named Camp Ida Thoroughman after the wife of Brigadier General Thomas Thoroughman an ex-Confederate Lt. Colonel who had been commissioned a brigadier general and made commander of the Montana Militia. The post was abandoned in 1867. Also known as Fort Ida Thoroughman.

History

Established on 13 Jun 1867, by the order of General Alfred H. Terry. Camp Ida Thoroughman was garrisoned by Colonel H. N. Blake and his troops.

The Camp was abandoned on 28 Sep 1867.
