Mission de San Agustin del Tucson (1692-1828) - A Spanish Mission established in 1692 by Father Garces as a visita or daughter church of Mission San Xavier del Bac in present day Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. Abandoned in 1828. Also known as San Cosme y Damian de Tucson. Current StatusAt the base of the "A" mountain In Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. The mission has been destroyed and the site used as a landfill. A walled mission garden has been constructed and is opened on Saturdays.
