Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville (1661-1706) - Born 16 Jul 1661 in Ville-Marie, New France. D'Iberville was a soldier, ship captain, explorer, colonial administrator, adventurer, privateer, trader and founder of the French colony of Louisiana of New France. He died 9 Jul 1706, of Yellow Fever in Havana, Cuba. Also known as Sieur d'Iberville.
