HistoryEstablished by the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) along the Kootenai River in 1821 near present day Rainy Creek, Lincoln County, Montana. Abandoned in 1824. Current StatusUnknown. Note: Some sources identify this as a North West Company (NWC) trading post but the NWC merged with the HBC in July 1821 and that ownership would have been short lived.
