Fort Janesville (1860-1860) - A Pyramid Lake Paiute War citizen fortification first established in 1860 in Janesville, Lassen County, California. Abandoned as a fortification later in 1860.
HistoryEstablished in May-June 1860 by citizens as a loop-holed log stockade with one blockhouse on the southwest corner. Built during the Pyramid Lake Paiute War after the first Battle of Pyramid Lake. Abandoned as a fortification at the end of the conflict in 1860. Current StatusMarker only. A California state historical landmark in Janesville, Lassen County, California.
