HistoryEstablished by the U.S. Army in 1804 to replace the Spanish Fort Celeste after the transition to U.S. Jurisdiction resulting from the Louisiana Purchase. The post remained until sometime in 1808. Current StatusUnknown location, the coordinates are for the square across from the New Madrid Museum.
