The CDSG 2009 Conference covering the Harbor Defenses of Baltimore and Washington D.C. will be based at the Comfort Inn BWI Airport, in Linthicum Heights, Maryland from April 1st thru the 5th. Rooms at the hotel will be $99.00 + tax per night for single and double rooms. For this rate you must call the hotel directly at (410) 789-9100 and mention Coast Defense Study Group. Reservations must be made by March 1, 2009 to get this rate. This rate will also apply if you add days on to your reservation for any add on tours.

Apr 2 Thu Aberdeen Army Proving Grounds, Fort Armistead, Fort Smallwood and Fort McHenry; evening presentations
Apr 3 Fri Fort Carroll and Fort Howard; annual dinner and business meeting
Apr 4 Sat Fort Washington, Fort Hunt and Fort Foote; evening presentations
Apr 5 Sun Washington Navy Yard and Dahlgren Naval Proving Grounds, VA. Conference officially ends
Apr 6 Mon Add on: Bolling Smith is willing to meet people at National Archives College Park and give them an
introduction to research work at a National Archives facility. Subject to enough interest

Anyone else willing to lead an add on tour on Sunday afternoon should contact me.

Transportation

Our hotel is located five miles from the BWI Airport and Amtrak station with free hotel shuttle service. It is also located next to a Baltimore Light Rail stop.
