Fort Terrett (1852-1854) - Established by Ltc. Henry Bainbridge, 1st U.S. Infantry on 5 Feb 1852 and named for 1st Lt. John C. Terrett killed in the Mexian War at the battle of Monterrey, 21 Sep 1846. Abandoned 26 Feb 1854. Also known as Fort Lugubre and Post on the North Fork of Llano River
