Camp White (1942-1946) - Construction began on 25 Feb 1942 the camp was completed on 14 Dec 1942 during World War II. Camp White was named after George A. White, an adjutant general of the Oregon National Guard. Deactivated Apr 1946.

Camp White History

The camp encompased 77 square miles and trained over 110000 troops during it's lifetime. At one point it was the second largest city in Oregon.
