The 34th's primary rendezvous was Portland, Maine, with companies scattered as far east as Fort Sullivan (1) in Eastport, Maine, and also serving at posts such as Fort Edgecomb near Wiscasset. In the summer of 1814 these units began to assemble at Portland, and the battalion marched to Vermont in September, 1813.
