Pacific Fur Company (1810-1813) - An American trading company established in 1810. Half owned by the American Fur Company, which was completely owned by John Jacob Astor. The Company establish Fort Astoria in 1811 as their Pacific coast headquarters. The company failed in 1813 during the War of 1812 and was sold to the North West Company.
