Battle Control System-Fixed (BCS-F) (2007-Present) - The current U.S./Canadian air defense system designed to replace the processing and display elements of the JSS System Regional Operations Control Centers (ROCC)s. As implemented in 2007 the system included two operations centers and a support center in the contiguous United states, one operations center in Canada and one each in Alaska and Hawaii. ![]() The equipment under the designation FYQ-156 replaced the 1980s era FYQ-93 displays and processors, the AN/GSQ-235, ROCC - Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Digital Information Link (RADIL), the AN/FYQ-155, Advanced Interface Control Unit (AICU), and the NORAD Contingency Suite (NCS). Currently upgraded to release R3-3 (2013).
