Fort Terrett

Fort Terrett (1852-1854) - Established by Ltc. Henry Bainbridge, 1st U.S. Infantry on 5 Feb 1852 and named for 1st Lt. John C. Terrett killed in the Mexian War at the battle of Monterrey, 21 Sep 1846. Abandoned 26 Feb 1854.

Location: From Junction Texas go 26 miles West on US 290 to a dirt road intersection with a Fort Terrett sign then 1 mile North to Noel Ranch.
