Pierre Chouteau, Jr. & Company (1838-1864) - Popularly known as the American Fur Company. Partners Pierre Chouteau Jr., John Sarpy, Joseph Sire and John Sanford. Pierre Chouteau Jr. owned about 250,000 shares while the other partners owned about 80,000 shares each.
