Fort Mose (1738-1763) - A fortified Black community first established by the Spanish in 1738. Abandoned in 1763. Also known as Negro Fort (2), Fort Mosa and Fort Moosa.

No remains. Site can be viewed from a distance from a catwalk over the marsh. No period guns or mounts in place.
