Camp Shannon (1917-1922) - A temporary U.S. Army Mexican border Camp established in 1917 at Hachita, Grant County, New Mexico. Abandoned in 1922.
History of Camp Shannon
Established on 11 Mar 1917 by Colonel J.C. Waterman and companies F and H, 24th U.S. Infantry at Hachita, New Mexico. Became a subpost of Camp Furlong on 15 Aug 1920. Abandoned 30 Jun 1922.

No remains, marker only.
