Fort Pike (4)
HistoryEstablished by Washington Territorial Volunteers in 1855 at the White River Crossing during the Yakima War. The Fort Pike blockhouse was placed to protect the important crossing. This fort may also be known as Fort Posey or Fort Posey may have been another fort located close to it. Abandoned as a fortification in 1856 as the war came to an end.
