The Mission San Pedro y San Pablo de Patale was one of the first missions in the province of Apalachee with a resident priest.
The mission was attacked and captured on 23 Jun 1704 by English and their Indian allies during [[Queen Anne's War]]. A counterattack in July 1704 was unsuccessful and the Spanish abandoned the site.
