Fort Moore (1) (1863-1863) - A Confederate post established in 1863 in Leflore County, Mississippi. Named for CSA Brigadier General John C. Moore (Cullum 1423). Abandoned in 1863. HistoryFort Moore was a small earthworks fort built in March 1863 to help block the Union Yazoo Pass expedition. Current StatusUnknown.
