Camp Crook (6) (1890-1890) - A U.S. Army Camp established in 1890 near Lame Deer, Rosebud County, Montana. Abandoned later in 1890.

History

A U.S. Army camp established on 14 Apr 1890, on a site near the Tongue River Indian Agency at Lame Deer, Montana. Major Henry Carroll and companies B, D, and M of the 1st U.S. Cavalry established Camp Crook to protect the agent and public property on the reservation. The post was abandoned in November 1890.
