The largest U.S. Army post in Hawaii (15,000 acres) established in 1908 on Oahu Island in Hawaii. The garrison headquarters of the [[25th U.S. Infantry Division]] is located here.
 
The main post area of Schofield Barracks is primarily troop and family housing and support facilities. The main troop housing consists of six barracks quadrangles (A-F) arranged in a southeast - northwest line. The officer family housing area is parallel to the troop housing quadrangles on the northeast side and the enlisted family housing area is west of the quadrangles. Area X and the area around it are the main training areas on Schofield Barracks. Air assault operations are supported in area X.

Schofield Barracks (1908-Present) - A U.S. Army post established in 1908 in present day Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii. Named for Lt. General John McAllister Schofield (Cullum 1585), Commanding General U.S. Army (1888-1895), U.S. Civil War Medal of Honor recipient, U.S. Secretary of War (1868-1869) and U.S. Military Academy Superintendent (1876-1881). Schofield Barracks is an active military installation.
