Camp Date Creek (1866-1873) - A U.S. Army camp first established in 1866 during the Apache Wars by Captain James W. Weir, 14th U.S. Infantry, in Yavapai County, Arizona. Moved to Skull Valley as Camp Skull Valley and then reestablished as Camp McPherson in 1867, named for Brigadier General James B.
