Montgomery FAA Radar Site (Active) - A FAA Radar Site established near Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama. Initially assigned an ID of MGM. Active FAA Radar Site.

Montgomery FAA Radar Site

History

This site furnishing radar track data to the FAA and was data tied to USAF SAGE System Direction Centers. Initially equipped with ARSR-1 search radar equipment that was updated to the ARSR-1D and then by the mid-1990s had been upgraded to the ARSR-1E configuration. By 2015 the radar had been further upgraded to the Common Air Route Surveillance Radar (CARSR) configuration with a 7172 Antenna.

The site is connected to the Atlanta Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) ZTL.
