Camp Jackson, I.T. [not the one that became Fort Jackson (4)] is mentioned twice in Cullum in the year 1833
Camp Jackson, Mo. probably the same one, appears several times as captured by the Union in 1861.
I also find a Camp Jackson in Gayarre's History of Louisiana, in that State during the War of 1812, in connection with Gen. Jackson himself:
Fort Barnwell in Florida: "was engaged against the Seminole Indians in Defense of Ft. Barnwell (Volusia), Apr. 12, 1836".
