Fort Homestead (1860-1860) - A Pyramid Lake Paiute War Fort first established in 1860 in Silver City, Storey County, Nevada. Abandoned in 1860. Also Known as Silver City Fort.
History of Fort Homestead
Established in 1860 during the Pyramid Lake Paiute War as a protective circular stone earthwork on Gold Hill in Silver City, Nevada.
Abandoned as a fortification at the end of the conflict in 1860.
Current Status
No remains, Silver City, Storey County, Nevada.
