Battery 155 - Ashley (1939-194?) - Battery Ashley was a temporary, World War II, 155mm coastal gun battery on Panama mounts. Located on Ashley Military Reservation, Honolulu County, Hawaii. Battery construction started 17 May 1939, was completed 18 Oct 1939 and transferred to the Coast Artillery for use 3 Jan 1940 at a cost of $ 2,957. Deactivated in 194?.
World War II
Part of the Harbor Defense of Honolulu.
Originally built as a temporary World War II coastal gun battery with four 155mm M1918 guns mounted on M1918 mobile marriages emplaced on circular Panama mounts.

Current Status
Remains of the BC station and at least two panama mounts can be seen in Bing maps. No period guns or carriages in place.
