Fort Fayette (1) (1791-1814) - A U.S. Army post established as Fort Franklin (3) in 1791 as a replacement for Fort Pitt (1) in present day Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Commonly known as Fort Fayette. Abandoned in 1814. Also known as Fort La Fayette.
