Mission San Francisco de Oconi (1659-1704) - An Apalachee Spanish mission established in 1659 in present day Jefferson County, Florida. Abandoned in 1704.

Mission San Francisco de Oconi History

Likely destroyed in early 1704 during Queen Anne's War by English and Creek Indian forces under ex Carolina Governor James Moore.

Current Status

Archeological site 8JE2 in Jefferson County, Florida.
