Battery Pensacola (1899-1935) - Constructed 1898-1899 on the Fort Pickens parade ground to hold 2 12" rifled guns on disappearing carriages. The guns were capable of firing 1,070 lb. shells about 8 miles. Gun tubes removed 1935 and carriages removed during World War II.
