Fort Crutchfield (1864-1865) - A Union U.S. Civil War Union Fort established in Chattanoga, Tennessee. Abandoned in 1864.
Fort Crutchfield History
A U.S. Civil War Union Fort established between Fort Lytle and Fort Mihalotzy in Chattanoga, Tennessee. Reportedly had the parapet complete, platform finished, guns mounted, magazines complete and in operation, only the outer works remained incomplete (report dated 29 Jun 1864).
