Fort Lytle (1863-1864) - A Union U.S. Civil War Union fort built in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Abandoned in 1864. Also known as Star Fort (3).

Fort Lytle History

An earthworks fort built as a five point star just east of Poplar Street between present day 13th and 14th street. The walls were 20 foot high surrounded by 10 to 15 foot dry ditches.
