Fort Lytle (1863-1864) - A Union U.S. Civil War Union fort built in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Abandoned in 1864. Also known as Star Fort (3). Fort Lytle HistoryAn earthworks fort built as a five point star just east of Poplar Street between present day 13th and 14th street. The walls were 20 foot high surrounded by 10 to 15 foot dry ditches. Current StatusUnknown.
