Camp Smoke Creek (1862-1864) - A Civil War era Army Camp established in 1862 west of Gerlach, Washoe County, Nevada. Named Camp Smoke Creek after the nearby Smoke Creek. Abandoned in 1864.

History of Camp Smoke Creek

A temporary Army camp established near the Smoke Creek Stage Station (or Depot) on the Honey Lake stage route. Intermittently occupied.

Abandoned in 1864 and replaced by nearby Camp Pollock for a short while.

Current Status

Some foundation remains.
