Fort de la Point (1718-18??) - First established in 1718 by Joseph Simon de la Pointe. Also known as Old Spanish Fort and Krebs Fort. Abandoned in 18??.
Fort de la Point History
Current Status
Two period guns in place along with two period ships anchors. Damaged seriously by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and not reopened or repaired as of December 2009. Enclosed in barbed wire fencing with no access.
