Julesburg Post (1864-1864) - A temporary post first established in 1864 by Captain Wilcox, Company B, 7th Iowa Volunteer Cavalry, in Sedgwick County, Colorado. The nearby town of Julesburg was named for Jules Beni, a notorious horse thief, and the post was named for that town. Abandoned in 1864. Also known as Fort Julesburg.
