Zebulon M. P. Inge (YYYY-1846) - Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. A career U.S. Army cavalary officer who served in the Second Seminole War and the Mexican War. He died 9 May 1846 at the battle of Resaca de la Palma, Mexico.

He entered the United States Military Academy in 31 Jul 1834 and graduated in the Class of 1838 ranking 45th out of 45.

He served in served in the Second Seminole War in Florida (1838-1841), at Fort Jesup (1841-1846) and in the Mexican War until his death in 1846. He died 9 May 1846 at the battle of Resaca de la Palma, Mexico, during the Mexican War. He was reportedly buried on the field of battle with the honors of arms.

Fort Inge in Uvalde County, Texas, was named for him.
