Samuel P. Heintzelman (1805-1880) - Born 30 Sep 1805 in Manheim, Pennsylvania. A career U.S. Army Infantry Officer and United States Military Academy graduate. Retired 22 Feb 1869 as a Major General. Died 1 May 1880 in Washington DC. Buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York.

He entered the United States Military Academy and graduated in the Class of 1826 ranking 17th out of 41

He served in the Second Seminole War in Florida.


General Heintzelman died 1 May 1880 in Washington DC. He is buried in Section T, Lot 7, West in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, New York.
