Camp Poplar River (1880-1893) - A U.S. Army Camp established in 1880 in Poplar, Roosevelt County, Montana. Abandoned in 1893.

History of Camp Poplar River

Established on 12 Oct 1880 on the south bank of the Poplar River by companies B & F, 11th U.S. Infantry.

Abandoned on 2 Oct 1893 and the garrison departed for Fort Assinniboine.

Current Status

No remains site in the town of Poplar, Roosevelt County, Montana.
