Fort Sarpy (1) (1850-1859) - Established 1850 as an American Fur Company fur trading post and probably named after John Scarpy, a partner in that company. Abandoned and burned in 1859. Replaced by Fort Scarpy (2). Fort Sarpy (1) HistoryCurrent StatusUnknown
